How Testosterone Affects Sex Drive

Testosterone is a hormone that is mainly associated with our sex drive. It is found in the bodies of both humans and animals. It is produced by the adrenal cortex, which is present in the testes in people with penises and ovaries in ovary owners. Whilst testosterone is considered to be primary sex hormone for penis owners, it plays a role in sexuality for vulva owners too.

As we mentioned earlier, most people associate testosterone with sex drive. This hormone is indeed present in the penis owners in larger quantities. It plays a significant role in the male body like regulating fertility, red blood cell production, muscle mass, and fat distribution. Testosterone in vulva-owners

Testosterone is produced in the ovaries owners along with hormone estrogen. The body’s fat tissues also produce this hormone. Although it is generated in a small amount, it is required for a healthy reproductive system and also sex life. Both testosterone and estrogen are responsible for growth, maintenance, and development of reproductive tissues.
